Health, Hope & Community – Keshavaram Health
Camp Update

We visited Keshavaram village and began our outreach from the central point of the village. We engaged with a large group of residents, introduced the purpose of our health camp, and were warmly welcomed by the community.

We conducted basic health screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight checks. Notably, around 10% of individuals screened showed high sugar levels. We offered them basic health advice—emphasizing the importance of proper diet, timely medication, and regular checkups. The residents were extremely appreciative of the free services and guidance.

We also reached out to women working in the fields. Many shared concerns about thyroid issues and eye problems. We checked their vitals and informed them that doctors would soon be visiting for further examination. Their response was very positive—they spoke to us openly and expressed genuine gratitude for the initiative.

One case that stood out was that of Rahima Begum (Age 30), whose blood sugar level was recorded at 588. We advised her on immediate precautions and are pleased to report that she has since visited the hospital for further care. Her family was grateful for the early intervention.

In addition, we met with the village sarpanch, agriculture president, and other local leaders. We discussed the village’s healthcare challenges and informed them about the objectives of our health camp. They expressed strong support for the initiative and requested that we organize regular visits from doctors, with a special focus on thyroid and eye testing in upcoming camps.

Many villagers are now eagerly awaiting the next health camp and have requested provision of medicines and diagnostic tests. There is also a growing interest in establishing a permanent health clinic in the village.
